Welcome to a video series On Water, presented by Tim Malooly, president of Water in Motion. Today we’re going to talk about water in the outdoor living environment and a top five trend for 2020 known as one-click irrigation.
Watch Tim Malooly discuss one-click irrigation.
The National Association of Landscape Professionals recently published an article talking about 2020 trends in the landscape. One of those trends focused on smart irrigation controllers, or what they called “one-click irrigation.” What does that mean?
One-click irrigation is the application of technologies to things that you’ve become used to using, such as an indoor thermostat and so on. Where you can use an app on your phone or your computer to control something. In this case, we’re talking about irrigation systems.
The benefit of that is, it gives you more control and more handy access to the operation and scheduling of your irrigation system. Also, some of these products have an added bonus of weather-based information that enables the irrigation system to automatically schedule itself for changing weather and then be more efficient in its use of outdoor water and more accurate in its application of water to the landscape, resulting in a healthier landscape.
If you have questions about these products, you can find information on the manufacturer websites below or contact us at Water in Motion.
