Malooly Elected MNLA President

Tim Malooly, CID, CIC, CLIA president of three Minneapolis based companies including Water in Motion, Irrigation by Design, and Dulcet Fountains & Aeration was recently elected President of the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association (MNLA).

Malooly is currently the chair of the MNLA Government Affairs Committee and has also served on the Irrigation Association Board of Directors. In 2008, Malooly was named the very first EPA WaterSense program Irrigation Partner of the Year. In 2003, he was honored as the MNLA Volunteer of the Year and received the MNLA 2017 Grow Results Award.

Also elected were Vice President Randy Berg, Berg’s Nursery, Landscapers/Garden Center of Austin and Patrick McGuiness of Zlimen & McGuiness PLLC of St. Paul.  Re-elected was Nick Sargent, Sargent’s Landscape Nursery of Rochester.

Continuing to serve on the Board of Directors, but not up for re-election this year are Matt Mallas of Hedberg Supply in Plymouth; Mike McNamara, Hoffman & McNamara Nursery of Hastings; Jeff Pilla, Pro Turf Inc. of Lakeville; John O’Reilly, Otten Bros. of Long Lake; and Faith Appelquist, Tree Quality of Apple Valley.

The Minnesota Nursery & Landscape Association is the state’s largest green industry trade association with more than 1,100 member businesses including garden centers; landscape contractors and designers; tree and flower growers; irrigation contractors; and lawn, tree, garden and snow services.
